First Annual ESG Report Shows Servicon Is Doing Well by Doing Right

Servicon recently published its first environmental, social, and governance (ESG) report. Fortunately, we had much of the data available since our ESG strategy, Thrive: Doing Well by Doing Right, is based on the philosophy we have followed since Richard Mahdesian founded Servicon over 50 years ago.

We developed the report to:

  • Publicly declare our commitment to ESG responsibility, creating a positive impact on people and the planet, and doing business ethically
  • Provide transparency and accountability to our stakeholders by sharing our actions and impact to date along with baseline data
  • Share our next steps in formalizing our commitment to ESG and the development of our plan for continued impact into the future.

Our ESG strategy is not designed to operate in a silo. Rather, it will remain woven into every aspect of our business, ensuring that our culture and actions align with our ESG pledge to benefit the environment, our employees, clients, and the communities we serve.

The Big Four

These four core pillars are the foundation of our ESG strategy:

  1. Opportunity. Creating opportunities to empower and support our employees to thrive and fostering a workplace environment that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion where everyone feels respected, understood, and that they belong
  2. Community. Contributing to systemic change and supporting development among disadvantaged communities to promote education and training, health equity, employment opportunities, and food equity.
  3. Sustainability. Implementing environmentally responsible cleaning and facilities maintenance services and business practices focused on reducing, reusing, and recycling to protect the environment today and into the future
  4. Ethics & Integrity. Being accountable from the top down by leading with integrity and honesty, conducting business ethically and fairly, and complying with all laws and regulations while setting the same expectations with our business partners.
