As daily life brings new challenges for individuals, families, and communities, Servicon remains committed to doing work that makes a meaningful difference. Our 2024 Impact Report, titled ‘Living Our Values, Lifting Our World,’ is a testament to our year of growth and a reaffirmation of the principles we have upheld since our founding in 1973. It’s a source of pride for us all.
This year’s report shares our unwavering commitment to embedding environmental responsibility, community investment, and ethical leadership throughout our business. As a privately held, women-owned company, we are proud to create healthy environments where people thrive. In doing so, we are helping redefine what responsible business looks like today, inspiring others to follow suit.
Celebrating Our Milestones in Leadership, Recognition, and Impact
In 2024, Servicon CEO Laurie Sewell was named President of ISSA, the global cleaning industry association. She is only the fourth woman to hold this position in the organization’s 100-year history. This milestone reflects our leadership in the industry and our long-standing dedication to ethical business practices, sustainable operations, and the people who keep essential spaces running.
“Being recognized by ISSA is a privilege, but the real honor is working every day alongside the people who make Servicon what it is. Our frontline teams inspire me with their dedication and care,” says Laurie Sewell, President and CEO.
Our Framework for Sustainable Growth and Social Impact
We do not approach environmental and social responsibility as a side effort. Our strategy of “doing well by doing right” is integrated into how we operate. From green cleaning and fair compensation to frontline career pathways and community partnerships, we bring our values to life in practical, everyday ways.
Four core pillars guide our approach:
- Opportunity: Empowering employees through education, leadership training, and mental health support.
- Community: Supporting grassroots organizations and hands-on volunteer efforts in the neighborhoods where our employees live and work.
- Sustainability: Lowering our carbon footprint, incorporating more electric and hybrid vehicles into our fleet, growing green cleaning programs, and promoting circular economies.
- Ethics and Integrity: Strengthening governance, improving workplace safety, increasing transparency, and building a culture rooted in trust.
Our work at Servicon has a direct impact on the community. Asia Pitcher, Assistant Portfolio Manager, shares her perspective:
Some of our clients are developing vitamins and cures for cancer inside the cleanrooms we service. When someone asks, ‘What do you do here?’ I say, ‘I help keep this space safe so my clients can produce life-saving products.’ I’m making a difference.
