What Our People Say

Patricia Ramirez, Cleaning Technician

“My team is part of my work community. We work together, help each other, and organize team building activities to celebrate one another. When we spend eight hours a day at work, it’s important to have this feeling of community.”

Understanding Who We Are to Grow Together

We’re committed to understanding our team’s lived experiences as a foundation for meaningful progress. In 2024, we launched a company-wide assessment to explore the employee experience, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for growth.

Through leadership interviews, surveys, and focus groups conducted in both English and Spanish, we’ve collected valuable insights that help shape a more connected and purpose-driven workplace. These findings continue to guide our efforts to strengthen belonging and fairness at every level of the organization.

We’re also committed to gathering feedback on an ongoing basis to better understand our workforce, support continuous improvement, and strengthen a culture rooted in trust, learning, and shared impact. Grounded in our values and powered by our people, we’re cultivating an environment where every voice matters and progress is part of our daily work

Accountability Starts With Leadership

Respect, teamwork, truth, and accountability are the values that shape how we lead and work together. With guidance from our Board and senior leadership, they bring forward meaningful perspectives that inform our programs, build representation, and support a workplace where everyone has a voice.

Strengthening Culture Through Learning

Servicon’s Learning & Development Program empowers employees with the skills and knowledge to grow their careers and serve clients with excellence. Through our bilingual Learning Hub, hands-on training, and curated development resources, we foster continuous learning, boost engagement, and support professional growth across every level.

Carrying Forward the Power of Service

Guided by the values and vision of her grandfather and Servicon founder Richard Mahdesian, Gabby Mahdesian continues to lead ServiconCares with heart and purpose. In 2024, she focused on building long-term partnerships with grassroots organizations that reflect the communities they serve. Rather than one-time donations, ServiconCares offers ongoing financial and hands—on involvement, ensuring that impact grows with trust and shared purpose.

This year’s highlights include engaging with scholarship students at Charles Drew University and learning from The Prism Way, a re-entry program focused on accountability and healing. Gabby’s leadership keeps ServiconCares rooted in authenticity, compassion, and a belief in the power of steady, committed work.

“Seeing our employees consistently excited to give back to the community in their free time is truly heartening and refreshing. I am also eternally grateful to ServiconCares for the opportunity to meet some of the most inspiring and hardworking people among our partners. They are community leaders and some of the kindest, most passionate individuals who inspire me to be a better person every day.”

Governance That Reflects Our Values

A strong governance framework ensures our decisions reflect our values, protect our people, and support long-term impact. As part of a major initiative in 2024, we refined and centralized company policies to bring greater clarity, consistency, and accountability across every level of Servicon. From Board oversight to leadership action, transparency remains a cornerstone of how we work.

Workplace Equity That Puts People First

A commitment to equal opportunity guides our approach to employment, ensuring no one faces discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or any other protected category. Policies are in place to foster a respectful environment, backed by required anti-harassment training and anonymous reporting tools that support safety and dignity. Unlawful harassment and discrimination is not tolerated. Employees are encouraged to speak freely and share their perspectives without fear of retaliation.
