Leading EVS and Commercial Cleaning Company Remembers 9/11 by Giving Back
Culver City, California, September 25, 2024 – Through ServiconCares, Servicon employees will participate in this year’s LA 9/11 Day Meal Pack program. ServiconCares is the philanthropic arm of Servicon, a leading national healthcare environmental services (EVS) provider and commercial cleaning services company.
The event, which took place on September 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. PDT at LA Live Event Deck, will bring together 1,200 volunteers to pack 400,000 meals for people experiencing food insecurity in the local community. The meals will be donated to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Nationwide, more than 30,000 volunteers will pack 9 million meals for those at risk of hunger in America.
“ServiconCares is excited to represent our team as we come together with more than a thousand volunteers in Los Angeles to pack meals for those struggling with food insecurity,” says ServiconCares Director Gabby Mahdesian. “It’s invigorating to participate in something of this magnitude nationwide to remember 9/11 while giving back to our local communities. A special thanks to Los Angeles Regional Food Bank for distributing the food to those in need.”
ABOUT 9/11 DAY:
9/11 Day is the nonprofit organization that created and annually organizes the federally recognized September 11 National Day of Service & Remembrance. 9/11 Day’s mission is to inspire millions of Americans and others to rekindle the remarkable spirit of unity and compassion that arose in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. This is accomplished by performing good deeds and other acts of service in tribute to the 9/11 victims, survivors, first responders, and members of our military who bravely rose in service in response to the attacks. Since the attack on the United States on September 11, 2001, 9/11 has become the nation’s largest annual day of charitable service.
In addition to LA, 2024 Meal Pack programs will be held in New York City, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Nashville, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Jose, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa, and Washington, D.C.
